U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in San Diego found more than $1 million worth of marijuana hidden in a shipment of bananas at the Mexico border, officials said Wednesday.

TOMS RIVER — An Ocean County grand jury has charged a 59-year-old Little Egg Harbor man with murdering his next-door neighbor and operating a marijuana growing facility with the dead man’s girlfriend.

DENVER – A Denver lab that tests medical marijuana says it was raided by federal drug agents and ordered to turn over patient and customer records. Full Spectrum Laboratories president Bob Winnicki said Drug Enforcement Administration agents showed up at his facility in Denver on Wednesday.

A vote in the state Assembly Public Safety Committee to approve Assembly Bill 390, a bill by Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco, that would have legalized adult recreational use of marijuana in California, passed 4-3 with the support of local Assemblyman Jared Huffman, D-San Rafael.
